Coconut & Goji Berry Bliss Balls

I hit the kitchen over the weekend and created these delicious coconut and goji berry bliss balls. They are inspired by Pana chocolate’s coconut and goji berry flavour. I’m a huge fan of Pana chocolate and I love the coconut and goji berry flavour, having created bliss balls that taste similar is heaven. They go down like a treat and will definitely fix that chocolate craving. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients

1 Cup of Shredded coconut
1 Cup of Cashews
1 Tbsp of Coconut oil
½ Cup of Goji Berries
2 Tbsp of Cacao powder
10 Medjool date’s

 

Add cashews, shredded coconut, cacao powder and goji berries into a blender, blend until you get a crumbly texture. Remove pips from medjool dates, then add them into the blender. Blend until mixed thoroughly. Add coconut oil and blend until mixed. Roll into small balls. Store balls in the fridge, they will be ready to eat within 30 minutes, or you can eat them straight from the blender! Enjoy!

Matcha Smoothie

It’s about time I shared a new smoothie recipe!!! This morning when I woke up, I felt the creative urge to get smoothie making. My options were limited, but then I remembered I had Matcha powder hiding in the cupboard somewhere. I had been wanting to put it to good use this week. My result ended with this delicious Matcha smoothie.

Ingredients

2 Medjool dates
1 tsp Matcha powder
1 tsp Maca powder
2 Tbsp of Flaxseed meal
1 ½ Cup of Oat milk
2 Bananas
1 Scoop of Amazonia raw protein (pea protein)
2 Ice cubes

 

Optional
Garnish with loving earth buckinis 

Peel and cut banana into small pieces and remove pips from medjool dates.  Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.  Pour smoothie into glasses, garnish smoothie by sprinkling a spoonful of loving earth buckinis on top. Enjoy!

 

Serves 2, time required 5 minutes.

Matcha tea is a great energy booster, which is good for people like myself that have Chronic fatigue. I recently purchased some Matcha tea and have been stuck with ideas on adding it into my diet. I’ve tried Matcha lattes, teas and smoothies, but I wanted to get creative and find other ways to add it into my diet. I’m always mooning over instagram, looking at all the inspiration on there. I came across some matcha bliss balls creations and after seeing a number of creations I just had to get into the kitchen and create some of my own. When it comes to creating bliss balls, it’s all about using what you have in your cupboards. Keep testing and trying the mixture out until your happy. I’m in love with this creation, cacao powder is one of my favourite ingredients to use. Combine it in with Matcha tea and it is heaven! I hope you enjoy this creation as much as I do!

Ingredients

1/2 Cup cashews
10 Medjool dates
1/4 Cup Cacao powder
1 Tbsp Matcha
1 Tbsp Coconut oil
1 tsp Maple syrup
1 tsp Vanilla extract

Remove pips from dates and combine into a blender with cashews, cacao powder and matcha powder. Blend until mixed, then add maple syrup, vanilla extract and coconut oil. Blend until mixture is all mixed, then roll into small balls. Store balls in the fridge, they will be ready to eat within 30 minutes or you can eat them straight from the blender! Enjoy!

Optional: For an extra Matcha hit, roll balls in extra Matcha powder.

Makes 12- 14, time required 10 minutes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favourite combinations. Enjoy this delicious and healthy treat, your taste buds will be begging for more!

Ingredients

1 Cup of Oat milk
2 Scoops of Amazonia raw protein (pea protein)
1 tsp of Rice malt syrup
1 Tbsp of Peanut butter
1 Tbsp of Cacao powder
1 Banana
4 Ice cubes

Garnish with coconut chips.

Peel and cut banana into small pieces. Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour smoothie into glasses, garnish smoothie by sprinkling the top with coconut chips. Enjoy!

Serves 1, time required 5 minutes.

Tropical Rock-Melon Smoothie

Here’s a great and refreshing smoothie that’s perfect for summer!

Ingredients

1 Cup of Rock-melon
1 Cup of Pineapple
1 Mango
1 Cup of Coconut Water
4 Drops of Stevia
4 Ice Cubes

Garnish
A slice of pineapple and rock-melon

Cut pineapple, mango and rock-melon into small pieces (make sure the skin is removed). Combine into a blender with all of the ingredients. Blend until smooth, then pour smoothie into glasses. Garnish smoothie with a slice of pineapple and rock-melon, by placing pineapple and rock-melon into the smoothie. Enjoy!

Serves 2, time required 10 minutes.

Tahini Banana Smoothie

First post for the year, Whoohoo!!! Welcome to 2015, I’m pretty positive it will be a wonderful year for you all.

My lovely readers, I do need to apologise for being very absent from my blog. I promise, you will hear from me a little more with all my updates. But first off I have a delicious smoothie that needs to be introduced to you.

Tahini banana smoothie to me tastes like cookie dough, I’ll let you be the judge! Enjoy it tastes amazing!

Ingredients

2 Bananas (chopped roughly)
1 1/2 Cup of Coconut Milk
1/2 tsp of Coconut Nectar
1 Tbsp of Tahini
1 Tbsp of Cacao Nibs
4 Ice Cubes

Garnish with a sprinkle of cacao nibs

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until ingredients has reached a smooth consistency. Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of cacao nibs. Enjoy!

Serves 2, time required 10 minutes.

Raspberry Pear Smoothie

Sorry my beautiful readers for not posting much lately. I am super busy at the moment with my studies and other exciting stuff! I promise I will be posting a bit more regularly about my happenings, as well as more smoothies recipes soon! For now I’ll leave you with this delicious raspberry and pear smoothie!

Start your day off with this sweet and refreshing smoothie, it makes a great start to those warm beautiful days.

Ingredients

3 Pears
1 Cup of frozen Raspberries
1 Cup of Coconut water

Garnish
1 Slice of Pear
1 Handful of frozen Raspberries

Peel and core pears. Combine into a blender with raspberries and coconut water. Blend ingredients until smooth. Pour into glasses. Slice a 2 cm slit at the bottom of the pear slice to garnish, add the handful of raspberries on top. Enjoy!

Serves 2, time required 10 minutes.
