About Me

Hello and welcome to my page, I’m Lennae and this is my world!

I started this blog up in 2014 to write about and share my health journey with ME/CFS (Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome). In June 2013 I became bed-ridden with ME/CFS. It was a very challenging time and a major learning experience. Very slowly I got my health back and have kept this blog going, as it has bought me a lot of enjoyment along the way.

After recovering from ME/CFS, I moved back to New Zealand in 2018 with my husband Cameron. We had been living away for 10 years in the UK and Australia.  That year we welcomed our daughter Keira, who is now a cheeky toddler. We also have two furbabies, a handsome sometimes cuddly cat named Barry and a white happy border collie named Snow (they are both Australian).  We also have joining our growing  family, fraternal boy/girl twins! Which are due to arrive in May 2021!

Not only has this blog been about my health journey with ME/CFS, but it has also been a place where I have shared and written posts about goal kicking, travel adventures, studying, recipes, health related issues (pregnancy, hormonal and post pregnancy related) and anything positive.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to connect, I would love to hear from you.

  1. Hi Lennae! 🙂
I was diagnosed with CFS/ME in 2005. At that point, I couldn’t even wash or dress myself or take myself to the bathroom. But I’m pleased to say, I recovered & have had no problems since 2007 (other than a bit of wheat intolerance and the occasional fainting/dizziness!)
I’m still definitely signed up to the idea of food as medicine and I can’t wait to try out some of your recipes!
    Sending spoons!
