Oh Hey there, it’s been awhile!

Hello friends, I hope you’re all well! It feels like its been forever since I’ve written anything on my little space on the internet. I have missed it and I have often thought about writing and that’s as far as I get…..

Turns out life with 3 littlies is pretty BUSY!!! I’ve finally found a few moments for myself, so I thought I’d give some insight on how life has been traveling.

First things first, I probably need to update you on my little twin babes. Well their not so little anymore, they’re almost 10 months old! I’m really not sure where or how that time passed. If I’m honest most of the days, weeks and months have been a blur. The bubs are busy little bees, if your not familiar on what nine month twins get up to, I’ll fill you in on how these two roll.

Currently there is a lot of hooning around the house via crawl express, crawl drag races up and down the hallway, neighbour hood watch (standing at the sliding door watching, chatting/yelling), breaking into big sisters room and grabbing anything, standing around, making noise, removing nappies, eating food, throwing food, throwing water bottes, chasing down the cat, dog and vacuum, pulling hair (including dad’s leg hairs) reading/ destroying books and having baby wrestling matches. Not quite what I imagined, but hey…..its busy stuff. The wrestling matches were a bit confronting at first, especially when the eye gouging started, but it turns out its all a bit of fun.

Thankfully these two bubs enjoy each others company, they also love interacting with their big sister, which means Mum & Dad get a breather every now and then.

Navigating twin life has had its challenges, but I think we’re getting the hang of it. It’s things like logistics that have been the main challenge. Like will the buggy fit in this store, through particular doors, can I manage to carry both capsules or both babies at the same time, or do I need to go one at a time. Finding that double child trolley at the supermarket, if I’m brave enough to shop and learning to manage the whole crew (big sis, dog & bubs) when I go for a walk. You get the hang of it eventually. Sleep has also been a challenge, but who needs sleep! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I drink a ton of Matcha green tea and eat loads of dark chocolate, I think the caffeine’s got me covered there.

We also made the move from Palmerston North to Hamilton back in October. Hamilton is approximately 5 hours drive north of Palmerston North, it was a bit of a move. Thankfully not too challenging, as we did it before the twins started getting too active. Originally when we found out twins were on the way, we thought that moving up to Hamilton might be an option, as its much closer to my husbands family, but we hadn’t actually made any plans to move. As it turned out, it was meant to be. A job opportunity came up for my husband, which gave us 6 weeks to pack up our lives and leave the place we came to love “good old Palmy.”

Settling into our new part of the country has taken a bit (thanks covid) but I’m happy to report that Hamilton has its perks and its also nice to be back in the part of the world where I grew up in.

That’s about it from me friends, I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

Hopefully I’ll be back writing some more soon. πŸ™‚

Bye for now,
