It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas……. Ahhhh, Christmas is almost here, it’s two weeks away, but who’s counting!
I’m not sure about you guys… but I’m starting to feel a bit festive and thought I would try and whip up something to get into the festive spirit.
When I think of Christmas I think of warming flavours like cinnamon, ginger or nutmeg, its the sort of flavours in Christmas cake, Christmas mince pies, egg nog and gingerbread. It also reminds me of a candle I used to burn which I could only get around Christmas time. I thought I would keep to that flavouring theme and whip up some bliss balls, because I’m always snacking on them, plus they are so easy to make!
I feel like I achieved exactly that with this recipe. If you feel like whipping up a batch, let me know what you think, but most of all Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 Cup of Walnuts
¼ Cup of Desiccated coconut
1 Tbsp of Melted Coconut oil
2 tsp of All Spice
½ tsp of Cinnamon
¼ tsp of Ginger
10 Medjool date’s
Add walnuts, desiccated coconut, all spice, cinnamon and ginger powder into a blender, blend for a good 30 seconds or until you get a crumbly texture. Remove pips from medjool dates, then add them into the blender. Blend until mixture is blended. Add coconut oil and blend until the mixture is all moist. Roll the mixture into small balls. Store balls in the fridge, they will be ready to eat within 30 minutes, or you can eat them straight from the blender! Enjoy!
Makes approximately 10 balls, time required 10 minutes.
