Berry Cacao Smoothie

IMG_20150409_161403

This smoothie is very much inspired by Luke and Scott from “My Kitchen Rules”. You can find their smoothie in their “clean living” cookbook. I have just added and amended a few ingredients to suit what’s in my pantry. It does taste delicious, make sure you give it a go!

Ingredients

2 Bananas (peeled & chopped)
1 ½ Cup of Coconut water
½ Cup of Blueberries
½ Cup of Strawberries
2 Tbsp of Cacao nibs
2 Scoops of Amazonia Raw Protein (pea protein)
2 Medjool dates (remove pips)
4 Ice Cubes

Garnish, with frozen blueberries and a strawberry.

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smoothie has a smooth consistency, pour smoothie into glasses. Garnish by placing a 1cm slice in the bottom of a strawberry then slide onto the glass. Sprinkle frozen blueberries on top of smoothie. Enjoy!

Serves 2, time required 10 minutes.

    1. Thank you Kiki, your welcome! I would love hear what you think, if you end up trying it.

  1. This looks amazing! And reminds me that I need to stock up on cacoa nibs after running out! I normally use Vanilla protein in my shakes, but after seeing that you’ve used pea protein I may give it a try. I find my pea protein barely gets used…I must remember to start making more savoury recipes haha
    Thanks for sharing this 🙂
